Tournament of Minds Sponsored by Freemasons WA

Each year Freemasons WA through the Masonic Foundation sponsors the Maths and Science award at the WA Tournament of Minds.

“Tournament of Minds is a problem-solving programme for teams of students from both primary and secondary years. Tournament of Minds is one of the fastest growing international school programmes with the involvement of thousands of participants. TOM aims to enhance the potential of our youth by developing diverse skills, enterprise, time management, and the discipline to work collaboratively within a competitive environment.”Tournament of Minds Webpage

Freemasons WA has been a sponsor of Tournament of Minds for the past 20 years as it fits the key tenets of our charitable efforts both involving the community and focusing on education. There is an immense amount of work that goes into these awards each year not only from the organisers but from each of the groups of students and their facilitators totaling over 900 individual students that choose to compete and Freemasons WA would like to congratulate each and every member of the community that participated at every level.

Yesterday the West Australian teams participated in States Day 2017 attended by Most Worshipful Bro Dr William Babe Grand Master of Freemasons WA and Right Worshipful Brother Peter Kirwan Deputy Grand Master, to award those who will be attending the Adelaide competition in October representing WA. Congratulations to the teams chosen to represent WA we have no doubt that you will do our state proud.
